What changed in Statfeed
Every version that moves your rating or your screen gets an entry here, in plain language: what changed, why it changed, and what it did to the matches you already played. Newest first.
2026-09-02 · Statfeed Score v2.2
In one sentence: three plays that already showed up on screen — center, clear and the first touch of the kickoff — now count toward your rating, and your whole match history was recalculated so it sits on the same ruler.
What changes for you
- Center and clear now score. Putting the ball in front of the opponent's goal (CENTER BALL) and getting the ball away from your own area under pressure (CLEAR BALL) already showed up in the receipt as a stat; now they also move your SFS.
- Winning the first touch of the kickoff (“1st touch”) also scores, with a small weight — it's the line of the receipt you check in your head, right there, because you remember whether you got the ball.
- There's a new screen for your second screen:
?view=score, a live receipt per player — every play that happened in the match, with the rating it was worth.
Why
Center and clear were always real, they just sat outside the math. The logic: when the center works, it already became an assist, which pays more; when the clear was genuinely needed, it already became a save, which pays even more. The new weight only recognizes the version that became nothing — the ball placed well that nobody used, the pressure pushed away before it turned into a shot. To give a sense of size: today a clear is worth about half a shot on goal, and a center, a quarter. The first touch is in because it is measured: winning it buys about 2.5 percentage points of goal chance over the next 10 seconds.
Your history was recalculated
Since the weight changed, every match already played — not just the ones from now on — got the new rating. That moved the displayed digit on about 6 in every 10 old ratings, almost always between 0.1 and 0.3. The best-rating record did not change hands. The alternative would be keeping two rulers at the same time, the old one counting one thing and the new one another — and that is worse: sooner or later somebody breaks a record with a worse match, or fails to break it with a better one, and the number stops deserving trust. We would rather recalculate and say so.
How to read the receipt
The big number at the top of each column is your rating RIGHT NOW — it comes straight from the server and is always up to date. Below it, the receipt is the itemized bill: one line per play, with what happened and the rating it was worth at that instant, and right underneath it the weight of that play (×1.0, ×1.4...). Shot, demolition, center, clear and first touch are worth a fixed weight (×1.0, no context bonus); assist and some other plays can come with a bigger multiplier, like ×1.4. If a line shows up in grey, with no weight: the play happened, but this version of the Statfeed Score does not count it toward the rating yet — it is not an error.
Common questions
My rating on an old match changed, is it a bug?
No. It's the recompute: the ruler got more complete, the match itself did not change. The typical movement is small (0.1 to 0.3).
I made a center and the digit of my rating did not move. Did it really count?
It counted — showing up in the receipt is already the record of the play. With today's weights, about two in every three centers are not big enough to move the displayed digit. That's how the weight was calibrated, not a failure of the math.
Why is my clear worth more than my center?
Because the clear is usually a forced play, with no second chance — if it doesn't come off, it's generally a goal. The center is a choice with the attacking field still open.
